Sakura Matsuri is a mini-festival targeted for the high-school audience that explores contemporary and traditional Japanese culture. Sakura Matsuri will take place on April 23, 2004 from 8:30am to 1:00pm at the Seattle Airport Hilton and Conference Center.
The event will feature a premiere animated film, three 40-minute panels featuring traditional and contemporary Japanese culture and an opportunity for students to explore exhibits at Sakura-Con 2004. The cost is $10.00 per person and space is limited to only 250 persons.

We are taking reservations now for this event. You can register by mail or online at www.ancea.org . After we receive your reservation, you will be sent an information packet outlining payment dates, panel topics, directions and maps. We look forward to you and your group attending Sakura Matsuri.

ANIME MIDNIGHT MAGIC: Was Held Oct 11, 2002
Anime Midnight Magic was held at V-con Friday, October 11th, 2002 from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 am in a ballroom which V-con had donated to ANCEA for this event. It was presented by the Asia-Northwest Cultural Education Association in conjunction with V-Con the Vancouver Canada Science Fiction convention. It was a J-Pop and Anime music ball. In addition to the dance which featured anime music images screened on
the wall during the dance, Anime movies were shown afterward.
It was ANCEA's first event in Canada! And a smashing success! Thanks to all who helped put this event on.

We may return again for October 2003.
